Bali
This is a little heads up for those going to Bali, namely Seminyak,
although this is only a 10 minute taxi from Kuta Beach:

The Living Room
An amazing restaurant that looks like a garden setting from the
outside, but inside is a massive open plan “Queenslander” style
restaurant, with amazing food, prepared in 5 star style. The
ambience is perfect – they even have their own CD’s for those who
want to take it away with them.

La Lucciola
500m from Both Ku De Ta and The Living Room, this has fantastic
cocktails, atmosphere and view of the ocean, with its open plan
stylish Swiss Family Robinson set up. Italian style food, this is
the place you want to come to watch the sun go down, then head
upstairs for dinner.
Ku De Ta
The fist and still the best – not cheap, but this is the most famous
and has amazing atmosphere. About 3 times the size of the Living
room, this is great for groups, or to get the “vibe” of the upper
class side of Bali. Not cheap, but an experience. On the beach with
great sunset views.

Metis
New French style restaurant, and they have pulled no punches when it
comes to super-stylish set-up. Browse the antique or Jewellery store
while you wait for your meal.

Ibu Rai – ubud
A great place to eat if you visit the Monkey Forest. A professionally run
local run restaurant up in the hills of Udbud. Super-fresh food, and good
prices.

Bars:
Their names got a bit blurry after the first few…needless to say
there is no shortage, with Hu’u the big nightclub for weekends, and
Ku De Ta. There is a great Aussie run Alice in Wonderland style club
on the main strip too.
To Do:
Safari Park – fun to do with Kids, and can be done in a short day to
get you back to the pool in time for sundowners. A good med-size Waterpark attached, so pack your togs.
Monkey Forest - Great town (Ubud) surrounding the forest, fun to do,
and wander the many shops up there as well. A good chance you will
find some art you will like.
