This year’s After Dark weekend Program has now been finalised!

Now in its 14th year, the After Dark Weekend fun begins on Friday 7 April at 5pm through till late on Saturday 8 April, 2017, including 5 wineries DiGiorgios Family Wines, Zema Estate, Brainds Laira, Katnook and Raidis Estate.

Friday 7th April

The festivities begin with the ever-popular Charity vintage stomp, hosted by DiGiorgio Family Wines. Teams will battle it out for the glory of winning … and bragging rights too, as well as a $1000 prize that is donated to the winning team’s charity of choice.

Francesca Zema will again lead her team in the production of the delicious and much sought after family-style pizzas on offer at Zema Estate, where music will be supplied by local musician Nicole Lear; setting up a great ambience for their vintage celebrations.

For those seeking something different they can always “Wined It Up” at Brands Laira, where Say Grace Café & Larder will have plenty of their delicious fish and chips and hand crafted brownies to pair with a glass or two of wine or beer. Popular musician Rhys Crimmen will again provide his blues and reggae music.

Saturday 8th April

After the popularity of last year’s event, Katnook Estate’s “Wines in the Raw”, will again be a feature in the Saturday program. Guests can gain an insight into the production of premium wines, with a Winemaker guided walking tour of the historic Woolshed and winery, and be among the very first to taste this vintages wine.

Visitors and locals alike can look forward to Chris Raidis, from Raidis Estate, cooking his iconic charcoal grill with true Greek flair, accompanied by live music, Raidis Estate Wine and The Cide Project’s Vintage Cider and “Side Tracked” Extra Pale Ale range.

SHUTTLE BUS WILL BE PROVIDED FRIDAY NIGHT ONLY, Leaving the Prince of Wales car park at 5:30pm and will be running circuits going to and from Penola and the 3 wineries throughout the course of the night. The final trip will arrive back in Penola at 11:30pm. COST IS $10/HEAD for unlimited travel and can be paid directly to the Bus Driver
