We love the people who make the journey to come and visit our cellar door in Coonawarra; they have Wanderlust. They are the daring explorer, the lover of life with tales of adventures and experiences from their many trips. This wine’s for you, intrepid travellers…
Decanting this wine for an hour will allow you to see the true depth of flavour, but also show you that this wine is almost unique at this price – in that it will get better over 10 years.
No residual sugar, below organic levels of sulphur, and organically grown. The dense fruit and the soft tannins with allow this wine to age well until 2030.
Est. 1883, the Cape Banks Lighthouse is a significant orange monument 30 mins drive from our vineyards in Mount Gambier. Cool growing conditions, rocky mineraly soils, and low-yielding vines have helped create a complex wine - indeed a beacon of a Chardonnay.
2016 is, in our opinion, our best vintage yet. Organically grown grapes are starting to show the beautiful fruit spectrum of cool climate fruit.
50% new French oak Hogshead barrels for 9 months, going through malo-latic (2nd ferment) changing the malo acids into lactic acid, the same as in milk and butter, giving it a creamy mouth feel.
50% select yeast ferment - single ferment only keeping the crisp lime, pink lady apple and mineral notes. This is ‘left on lees’ (the dead yeast after ferment) and is stirred to increase flavours and complexity.

The Rouge Vintner glassware range is for the wine obsessed. Designed by our very own Dru Reschke, after 20 years in the wine industry he wanted to create a glass that was not only beautiful but practical.
Each glass has been coated with potassium salt which typically gives the glass 5 times the strength of a normal glass - this makes them suitable for use in domestic and commercial dishwashers. The rim has been cold cut and polished, this allows each glass to not only be fine and lightweight but also very strong and durable.
Each gift box contains 4 glasses and makes an excellent wedding, engagement or Christmas present.
"Why has it been so hard to find the perfect champagne glass? I just wanted one that I can fill in one pour without the bubbles overflowing. One that is wide enough to give off better aromas. One that has a shorter bottom to reach for polishing. And one that is strong, yet still has a fine edge.
When I couldn’t find that glass, I designed it myself."
Sparkling glass features:
Designed to prevent bubbles overflowing when pouring
Lucy & Alice is named after our two beautiful daughters.
2016 is, in our option, our best vintage yet. Crisp, fresh lively nashi pear with oyster shell mineral tones. Hints of guava notes stemming from the time on skins and the partial barrel ferment. As it warms in the glass, hints of honey and strawberry flesh shine through.
Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris are the same grape variety. Pinot Grigio is Italian, and Pinot Gris is French. “Grigio” and “Gris” both translate to grey, which is the colour of the grayish-blue fruit.

Ezra is the angel that encourages writers, and helps unlock self expression.
A cooler vintage in Coonawarra has allowed pepper characteristics to creep into the 2009 Shiraz, which additional layer of complexity to an already elegant wine. A tiny 1 tonne per acre was grown, and aged in 100% new fine grain French Grand Reserve Hogshead (300 litre) barrels.
The 2009 Ezra’s has a huge length of flavour of toasty mocha, blackcurrants, cloves and smoked vanilla.
It will age well to 2023 and beyond.
