Our Calendar is bursting with events, from our vibrant and lively Food and Wine Fiestas, Cellar Door wine dinners and the occasional party to the exclusive and ultra-premium Koonara Wines Platinum Marquee at regional race days – there’s always something to look forward to in the world of Koonara.

JANUARY: Mount Gambier Summer Fiesta
Join us for an unforgettable evening in the picturesque Cave Gardens.
Let your hair down as our live band sets the tone, followed by a DJ to keep the vibes going. Enjoy all of your favourite Koonara Wines as well as refreshing beers and ciders. Treat your taste buds to a curated selection of summer-fresh foods that’ll have you coming back for seconds (or thirds).
Each ticket also comes with a signature Koonara Wines polycarbonate glass for you to keep.

MARCH: Mount Gambier Gold Cup
Join us in our ultra-glamorous Platinum Marquee as we celebrate Mount Gambier’s biggest racing event.
Your ticket includes a 5-hour premium wine and beer package with cocktail-style food and entry into the racecourse. You’ll enjoy exclusive betting facilities, prime views, and live entertainment.

Fringe Mount Gambier presents LUMINOUS LANEWAY as part of the Fringe Laneways series at the 2024 festival! Enjoy an evening of Fringe Performers, Music, Pop-up bars with KOONARA Wines, Street Food, and interactive Art.

MARCH: Hamilton Summer (ish) Fiesta
Join us as we host our Hamilton Pop-Up bar in the lush Botanic Gardens. It’s a great night out with a fantastic atmosphere, mouth-watering food, and, of course, all your favourite wines.
We’ll have all the usual things that make our Hamilton Fiesta a cracking night. There will be live bands, a DJ, wine, beer and cider available, as well as various food stalls for you to enjoy. The ticket includes polycarbonate glass to keep!

MAY: Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival
Mark your calendars for a celebration of creativity and community at the Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival from May 16th to 19th.
At Koonara Wines, we’ve always believed that every bottle tells a story through its label. Some might even say (it’s us—we say it) that the label is a canvas ready for the story. So, with that in mind, we’re turning the brush over to you! Unleash your inner artist at our cellar door with a unique drop-in activity: design your own wine label or let the kids craft their candle masterpieces.
In collaboration with the imaginative minds at Be-Artiful Creative in Mount Gambier, we’ve prepared some label templates for your artistic journey.

MAY | JUNE: Melbourne Good Food & Wine Show
Join us at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on 31 May – 2 June for three days of good food, good wine and good times.
Watch top chefs and your favourite food heroes live on stage as they cook up a storm and meet over 300 producers to sip, sample, and shop their produce.
Don’t miss Australia’s tastiest day out. Tickets are on sale now, and we’d love for you to drop on by and say hello.
JULY: Cellar Dwellers
Come for a morning of toasting your mimosa glasses and enjoying an assortment of sweet and savoury toasted delights from local small business, “Occasional Loaf”.
Wine and mimosas are available by the glass, along with Shiraz Hot Chocolate for those feeling the winter chill. Of course, non-alcoholic Hot Chocolates are available for those who prefer aswell.
Sourdough toasties are available for purchase, along with sourdough fruit toast, served with butter.
Come along and enjoy an early morning treat to start your weekend off, and browse our Cellar Door as we open early to help kickstart the Cellar Dwellers weekend festivities. See you there!
NOVEMBER: bet 365 William Thomson Dunkeld Cup
Join us in our Platinum Marquee for a fabulous day of racing, elegance and fun at the 2024 bet 365 William Thomson Dunkeld Cup.
Our marquee is located in a premium trackside location with the stunning backdrop of Mount Abrupt. Your ticket includes a 5-hour beverage package of premium wines and beer, as well as entry into the racecourse, with gourmet food and live entertainment.
STRICT DRESS CODE: Men in suits, and ladies in your racing finest (no shorts, denim, t-shirts, runners, or thongs). Entry may be refused if the dress code is not adhered to.
